On Tuesday of last week, I had just gotten off of a long conference call with my Operations Director (I’m the Communications Director) and we went back to our desks, which are side by side, to discuss strategy. We got on another conference call with a leader in our industry who we thought could help. Our Member Director came out of her office, to our desks, to say something and I put my index finger up to my lips making the “shush” face, not saying anything. I figured she did not know we were on a conference call with an important business associate and didn’t want her to say anything not associated with the call.

My Name Removed From Physician’s Patient Roster

I have received a letter from my doctors surgery removing me as I had apparently used abusive language and aggressive behaviour towards a nurse. I had an appointment for a blood test and was kept waiting for over 50 minutes. I am very nervous about needles when I was called in to the nurse my mum asked if it would take very long as we both had to be back at work.

The nurse replied however long it takes to print a form off and however long it takes to get the blood from me. My mum then asked me if I wanted to have the blood test and I said no so we said we would leave it thank you and re-schedule. We went to reception to ask for the nurses name and practice managers name as we wanted to put in a complaint.

Hello! I’m the one who asked about needing/wanting more vacation time. Thank you Dr. Gorden and Ms. Lewis-Rowe for the advice. I followed Ms. Lewis-Rowe’s advice to mention my dilemma to my boss. I was sure she would just sympathize and say “yeah, too bad but I can’t allow you to go,” but she actually brought up lots of options I didn’t know so I can go (there’s a change schedule policy that I didn’t know!). Also, I tried talking to my fiance, and although he didn’t feel good about it at first he rescheduled it on a weekend. Again, thanks for your advice! Andrea

Will i get sick if I inhale the smell of urine or feces while cleaning the urinal or toilet bowls. I am a janitor and I do not use any mask when i clean the toilet, it is safe?

Few if any janitors wear masks and neither do health care workers, so apparently just the odor is not harmful. However, to be sure and to help reduce the unpleasantness of obnoxious smells, you might want to just buy your own mask and ask your employer if it’s OK for you to wear it when cleaning bathrooms. I was advised when asked an earlier question about a new supervisor in the organization that I have worked in for 20 years to maybe start pretending to make this kind of person look good, when all they is doing is making me look bad. For example, I was asking a question about how to fill out the proper paperwork for a client’s file. So I ask a supervisor who had been in the office for 23 years, versus this particular supervisor who is still in training, not trying to be disrespectful at all, but they took it that way and specifically stated to me that they was my supervisor, not the other person that I went to, I felt that was unnecessary, especially when no harm was intended.

It seems, intuitively, that it would deal with restrictions on per hour salary or per item salary, since “rate” often refers to amount per something. But, that might not be correct.

MY BOSS MISLEADING

COMPLAINT WAS RAISED TO HUMAN RESOUECE AND OPEN CASE THAT LEAD TO AN INVESTIGATION IN MY DEPT AND I WAS NOT INFORMED THAT THE INVESTIGATION WAS ON ME BEING ACCUSED OF KISSING AN EMPLOYEE ACCUSED OF HAVING A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP AT WORK LEADING TO FAVORITISM WITH THE EMPLOYEE…DURING THE INVESTIGATION MY BOSS/DIRECTOR MISLEADED ME AND BULLIED ME TELLING ME THAT HE NEEDED TO MOVE MY OFFICE DOWN TO HIS OFFICE TO PROTECT ME FROM THE GUYS SPREADING RUMORS ABOUT ME THAT IT WAS GETTING OUT OF CONTROL. THE INVESTIGATION WENT ON FOR JUST A WEEK IN MY DEPT AND I WAS CALLED IN AND WAS INFORMED THAT EMPLOYEES BELIEVE I HAVE FAVORATISM AND THEY BELIEVE I AM HAVING A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH AN EMPLOYEE. MY ANSWERE IS NO AND THAT THEY ARE JELOUS THAT EMPLOYEES PERFORMANCE LEVEL IS ABOVE EVERYONE ELSE MAKING THEM LOOK BAD AND SCARED THAT EMPLOYEE WAS GOING TO TAKE OVER AND REPLACED THEM SINCE EMPLOYEE PERFORMED VERY WELL AND VERY CONSISTANT WITH WORK AND ALWAYS HELPING WITHIN THE WEEK I WAS PUT ON LEAVE OF ABSENT FOR WHATEVER REASON I WAS NOT CLEARLY INFORMED BUT WAS TOLD BY HR “WE NEED YOU TO PACK ALL YOUR BELONGINGS AND LEAVE THE FACILITY” “YOU DO NOT NEED TO TELL ANYONE ANYTHING JUST GO AHEAD AND TAKE ALL YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS IN YOUR OFFICE AND JUST WALK OUT AND INCASE SOMEONE ASK YOU JUST SAY YOUR HEADED HOME. WE ARE PAYING YOU SO AGAIN IT IS A PAID LEAVE OF ABSENCE AND WE WILL CONTACT YOU ON MONDAY”

I WAS CALLED IN TUESDAY AND I WAS BEING TERMINATED WITH 5 COUNTS OF ACCUSATION I DID NOT DO AND WAS NOT AWARE OF AT ALL,¦ I WAS NOT INFORMED THAT I WAS BEING ACCUSED OF WHAT THEY SAID REASON OF MY TERMINATION . I HAD ASKED TO HAVE A REINVESTIGATION TO HAVE EVERYONER WHO HAD ACCUSED OR HAVE ANYTHING AGAINST ME I GUARANTEE YOU I WILL PROUD THEM ALL WRONG THAT I DID NOT DO ANYTHING WRONG.

I TOLD HR AND MY BOSS 1ST OF I WAS NOT TOLD FULLY AWARE OF WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH THE INVESTIGATION I WAS KEPT IN THE DARK. 2ND YOU GUYS INVESTIGATING ONE SIDE AND MADE A FINAL DECISION TO TERMINATE ME WITHOUT EVEN HEARING MY SIDE 3RD I AM REQUESTING YOU GUYS RE-INVESTIGATE WITH EVERYONE WHO GOT INVOLVE THAT WAS INTERVIEWED AND ACCUSSING ME GIVING OUT FALSE STATEMENT THAT CAN NOT BE PROVEN AGAINST ME.

I WAS DENIED OF EVERYTHING AND WAS TERMINATED THAT THEY HR & MY BOSS ALSO STATED: “JOMAR DON’T WORRY YOU WILL NOT HAVE A HARD TIME FINDING A JOB SPECIALLY WITH YOUR TITLE YOU’RE A SUPERVISOR THEY WILL ITS EASIER ON YOUR LEVEL.” AND “ALSO THAT YOU MAY APPLY FOR UNEMPLOYMENT DO NOT WORRY WE WILL NOT APPEAL AND INFACT I WILL BE SENDING OUT AN EMAIL TO ______(WHOEVER TAKES CARE OF THE DOCUMENTATION) I WILL TELL HER TO LET IT TRU SO THAT YOU CAN GET UNEMPLOYMENT SO WE WILL GIVE YOU THAT”
