Question to Ask the Workplace Doctors about confidential statements:
I am being investigated for saying something that was overheard by a third party that was offended by my statement. I met with my manager and district manager and was told it was a he said/she said thing and that no one else had a problem and that it would be laid to rest. Now, the regional manager is requesting the investigation notes taken by HR. I was told that all statements were confidential and that they would not be shared with anyone else but corporate security. My question is can my regional manger get these statements and if she has what can I do if I was told all would be shared with security only?
